Can I Get Discovered On YouTube By Acting? ?

-I really want to be a Actress, it's my dream and I figured since I live in a area where not many Actors/Actresses come from I would make videos of me doing acting on YouTube.

What do you think I should do? Like Skits, parts off of TV/Movies, out of books?Make your own scripts or do both whats your channel i'll check you out, and hey bieber got discovered like this so why not go make your dreams come true i'll support that.It's never happened, but it's interesting you think you can buck the trend. Personally I would suggest you invest your time and money in training if you want to be a professional in any career, just like all professional actors trained to be professional actors - they didn't make films of themselves in their bedroom then magically get an agent.
I suppose that could work for you but, it sure won't happen over night. The best thing you can do is it get some formal training in acting from a good school. I've been in acting training most of my life and I live in the LA area where most of the major studios are. Still, it's really had to get cast in a movie. There are a lot of people who want to be actors and actresses who are really very good at it. Most of us start out as Extras because the studios go to the schools looking for talent. I was recently cast in a small part in a major motion picture staring Jennifer Aniston. The assistant director seemed to like me so maybe I can get additional work from them. So, anything is possible. The first thing the casting director wanted to see though was my resume. She wanted to know how serious I was about acting and what training I had and what experience I had. Then I still had to read for the part and I was lucky enough to be cast. It would really help you to get formal training and perhaps move to an area where there are opportunities to be an Extra on set. They make movies all over America now. Most of the major cities have some kind of movie activity. The best ones are LA, NYC, Chicago, Seattle and Albuquerque/Santa Fe. But all of the major cities have movies filmed there on occasion. There are online talent agencies also that are notified of casting calls by the major studios. Most of the acting schools (if they are good schools) also get notified when Extras are needed. One of the easiest ways to get your foot in the door is to be an Extra and be good at it and easy to get along with.
Ya it could help, but you can't be cheesy and you actually have to be a somewhat talented actor. And I recommend doing comedy, that's what people want to see on YouTube.
you can always try, you might get lucky, but actors are usually never hired without an agent's recommendation, so your first step if you're serious would be to contact an agency and they will get you auditions
