Can you become a film actress if you have tattoo sleeves?

-Now, when I say sleeve, I don't mean the entire arm is covered. Just part of the upper arms. I had to get them done to cover OLD self harm scars. Can I ever be a film actress? Will I not be hired because of my tats? They can be hidden with make up, right? it's not a hassle.Yeah, you can. Makeup should cover them up.

J. Depp has hella lot tattoos. His arms are usually covered though..lolIt can be a real problem, I'm afraid.

Some agents won't take on anyone with a single tat! Actually, scars are easier to hide.

Just make sure that you're good enough at covering them up completely and with something that won't rub off easily.

Then, if you get to an audition or an interview with an agent and they ask, you can show them and prove your point.

While professional actors get make-up artists to do the work for them at all the lower levels you'd be expected to do your own make-up.
It depends, I think. They can be covered with make up or costumes. If your acting skill is good and they think you fit they'll look past your tattoos. Johnny Depp has a few tattoos that they cover up in movies. I think that if they don't come right out and say "you can't have tattoos" you're fine.
of course not! if you are a good enough actress they wont care they'll just cover them up with makeup, make some adjustments to your costume, or they wont even care and you can have them showing on set. unless the part specifically says "absolutely no tattoos" the director wont care
Sadly, in the acting business you probably won't be hired if you are covered in tattoos. Why would they bother if they can get someone else without the tattoos? That will save them hundreds of dollars in make up and time.
Depends on the directer
