How to get recognized?

-I want to know how to get on tv? I am 15 years old. It has been my dream to be an actor. But I don't know how to get noticed. I have had no acting career or lessons yet. But, I REALLY want to be an actor so badly! I want to know how the other kids my age got in shows like Miranda Cosgrove or Victoria Justice. How did they do it? I would LOVE to be an actor. It has always been my DREAM!!! Please help :(Well, start taking classes at your school next year if they offer them, look for lessons/classes around your area in performing arts centers, acting schools or even dance studios. Practice with books of monologues, dialogues, plays and act like your those characters. Visit talent agencies when you feel you have some technique to get a feel for what it's like in that world and also maybe find other talents so you have an edge when you audition. Like some musical ability (knowing how to sing is always good) or any other instruments, athletics or whatever other talents there may be. Also audition for your school productions, community productions, church productions. Jump at any opportunity you see...if you're school offers television production take that too. Anything that helps. Hope this helps you gain a little insight.



*Some minor experience in the acting/drama fieldThey started becoming actors at the age of 6 or 7, hun. im not saying its too late,but you need to take lessons to see if you even like it or not. what they get is TALENT AGENTS. and those cost MONEY. talk to your parents about that. they can get a talent agent for you (if they are on board with you as wanting to become and actor which is a hard job, just sayin). talent agents see your plays and how you act and then get you on an upcoming show. HARD.WORK. You wont become a superstar overnight, sweetie. stop being so retarded and focus on studies and school and friends and stop having dumb fantasies about wanting to be like actresses who work their butt off day and night. and its hard to land a role so you have to be good at acting. OH MY GOD. i just realized you know NOTHING about acting. TAKE. A LESSON. OR. TWO. you dont know crap!
You have no experience, no teacher, no lessons, and you want to get noticed? There are people with all of these things and they don't get noticed!



You need an excellent acting coach and school. Acting school costs loads of money. I'm talking hundreds of dollars PER lessons



You need lots of experience. School plays, professional plays, student films all are great for experience.



Any talents other than acting? Singing, dancing, sports, talents, you should put on your resume



You're always going to need a head shot (can cost up to 250-500 dollars) and a resume.

You need an agent. Agencies are looking for people with all of these things.



Talent cannot be taught, you have to be born with it.





Considering you had no experience or lessons in acting, I'm guessing you only want to be on TV for FAME. No, that's not how it works. You need to love what you do.



People say "oh, I want to be famous and act, I don't understand why people always want it for the fame" but THEY ARE THE ONES WHO WANT IT FOR THE FAME. They try to convince themselves they don't want it for fame, but really, that's ALL they want.
