I wanna be a teen actress . NEED HELP/ADVISE!?

-Im a 13 year old teen from Vista, CA and my dream in life is to become famous in acting . My dream shows are on Nickelodeon, it would be amazing to get a chance to audition for it. Or any commercials , but I would just like to get a chance to act. So if any of you guys can sen me links for : agents, acting classes, etc. It would be really helpful . Also, if you guys know about any casting calls for 2012 for Nickelodeon please email me or respond to this question. Oh also , if you just have any advise on what I should do please respond.



Thankyou !first you will need a parent who will do this with you, you can't do this yourself at 13. you will need to get to LA for the auditions you mention. your not going to be able to do this from where you are. LA

is where the agents will be. auditions don't come out that far ahead. to start, if your school has them, do school plays and drama classes. look around you for community theaters, some of them might have classes.
1st, Try an add for an actress in a newspaper.

2nd, Try some theater! You have no idea how many people wait there for the perfect girl/guy to stroll in!

3rd, Take a visit to a big city, Hollywood, New York+++



Yes I'm sorry but some agents cost more than a house!

If you're are interested in acting, the best, first place to get involved would be your schools drama club or theatre department - maybe even some community theatre. Most young people who want to act, get involved in their school, or classes in their area. Often times, community theatres will have acting classes on the side. You live in an area where you could probably very easily find an acting coach as well. Get involved in your schools theatre program. Talk to the other kids in it. See where they go, who they go to for some extra acting classes.



You live in a state where every other person is an actor. Just because it is a "dream to be famous" doesn't mean it's going to be easy! Not that it CAN'T certainly, it's just going to take some work on your part.



Don't worry about an agent at this point. Once you dive in further, that's something you can look in to. Right now, surround yourself with every possibility you can. Get a parent to help you Google theatres around you. That will be a great start for you.



Acting is hard work. It's often times thankless. It is VERY rewarding, but if you're only doing it to be famous, you may be disappointed. Doing a couple of theatre shows will help you decide if this is something you'd like to do with your life, as well as introduce you to people in your area who can help.
