-There's a vocal performance class in my town where people sing group songs and can pick a solo song to sing. The theme is Broadway shows from the 50's-60's. I want to sing the song "There's a Fine, Fine Line" from Avenue Q, but I don't know if the musical takes place in the 50's or 60's. If it doesn't, do you know any Broadway songs about unrequited love that take place during the 50's or 60's?Haha, NO. Avenue Q is NOWHERE near the 50's or 60's. An adult Gary Colman is a big character, if that gives you any clue. It's supposed to be modern times, early 2000's. Very contemporary
Here's some musicals all from the 1950's and 1960's that may work for you:
Guys and Dolls
The Pajama Game
South Pacific
The Music Man
The King and I
The lots of songs about love in those classics. Wikipedia them and see which one suits your needs best :)
it takes plac where it takes [place ;p
