How to get into acting?

-I love to act, but I'm not really sure how to start. I was in the drama club at school, and I'm going to be an extra in a movie later this week, but all I had to do was print off some papers online. 1. The first thing you'll need to get started is a good acting coach.

2. Once you've sharped up your acting skills, you will need a great headshot (a photo of yourself from head to mid-shoulder area) to market yourself.

3. The final step to get you on your way to the "big screen" if that's where you choose to go is to acquire a good agent! You can find them simply by googling them in your area. It is ok to sign with several agents even in every marketable state if possible.



Don't sign-up with anyone who makes you false promises which happens often in this business!
take some acting classes and get educated. look around you for local theaters and student and ind. film auditions, their open calls you can get yourself on. or a parent can if your a minor. their good for experience and your resume. if your still in school keep doing drama classes and plays. when you know what your doing and can give very good auditions you can start looking for an agent to get you on professional auditions.
